I build for clients and I ship my own products too. Here's some of it.
What these have in common
One person on each of them, from the first call through design, code, launch and the weeks after. The Hot Wok is client work — a system a restaurant leans on every service, where something breaking at eight on a Friday night is somebody's actual evening. Strallex and Gym Tracker are my own, which makes them the place I try things out before they go anywhere near a client's product.
They are deliberately different shapes. One is an operational system — live kitchen screen, QR ordering at the table, billing and sales reports. One turns messy sales and cost figures into a plain read on whether the month made money. One is a consumer app that has to feel good in your hand while you are between sets. Building across that range is what keeps the work honest: an internal tool and a phone app fail in completely different ways, and you only learn the difference by shipping both.
What they share is that each is a finished, working thing rather than a demo — live, in use, and built to be handed over. Every case study below says what it is, what I built, and how it turned out, including the parts that were harder than expected.
